No question about MMP, but a question about recall?!? Really?
Is that even an issue?
Knowledge of the referendum may not be universal, but I'm sure MUCH more people are talking about the MMP referendum than recall legislation.
Here's the question Vote for MMP had hoped Steve Paikin would ask:
"As you know, on October 10 Ontario voters will also be voting in an historic referendum regarding the Citizens' Assembly proposal to make our electoral system more representative through what is called the Mixed Member Proportional system, or MMP. Some opponents of electoral reform allege that some parties might undermine such a system by using it as an opportunity to appoint 'party hacks' to the Legislature, rather than nominating MMP province-wide candidates through democratic member-based nomination process such as parties follow today for riding candidates.
The question is this: If Ontario voters approve the adoption of MMP on October 10, will you assure voters as leader of your party that you would adopt an open, transparent and democratic approach to nominating the province-wide candidates, similar to the democratic methods used to nominate riding candidates today?"
Still waiting for an answer on this ...
